Don't use any sealant unless you have to,in my opinion.Once it's in there,it's a bitch to remove if it starts to peel out. Sounds like you're on the right track. Keep us posted.
Cheers! Bruce

Heck yeah its a problem. I am dealing with a bad seal job right now and lord its a pain in my ass. So I doubt I will put on back in. I gotta few tricks up my sleeve left. I'll try those out.
As soon as my damn painter gets my tank back to me I will be in business I think. I live on the Texas coast and he dosent have a paint box. So humidity has been keeping things on hold. Its a real pain. But oh well. I know it'll come out good.
have fun kats.

Been a minute now. But so let me give you an up date. I am pure and absolutely stumped. Looks like she is gonna have to go to a shop of some sorta. I am plain and dandy outta ideas. Not another trick up the old sleeve and not a scheme anywhere in the future. Hell I keep my hair so close cropped I dont even have that to pull out. I"ll let you know more when I so. Yall have fun and ride safe friends. Later.

well here is the deal as it stands. I tried pouring a little fuel into the cylinders, put the plugs back in, and gave her a kick. Started right up. So now I know that for some reason fuel is not gettin to her. The lines are full. The dump caps are full. Fuel is there but its just not moving and I dont know why. But she will crank with fuel at the cylinders. So thats a positive. but I am kinda out of ideas.
And the South Texas Devils is really just a joke me and some of the boys have going. Its are own little MCC. Plus its funny if look at as an acronym. We just want a reason to make our girlfriends wear shirts that say I Love STDs. ha. well its funny to me.

Cool Johnny! It's dark though, and I can't see your new paint job too well. Push it out in the sun,and get some better pix.
What happens when you tickle the carbs? Is gas running out, like it's supposed to? Are the plugs getting wet at all,or staying dry?
When you pour gas in the cylinders, and start it,does it stay running,or stop as soon as it burns off that gas?
What part of Tejas are you in? Are you anywhere near Laredo?

Yeah the carbs are getting fuel. When I tickle them fuel overflows from the spills. I even check the dump caps to make well and sure plenty of fuel was available. When I put fuel in the cambers she will continue to run as long as I keep it throttled up. As soon as the throttle comes off she dies. What I am thinking is there is a vaccum leak somewhere preventing a vaccum from being achieved. I am gonna try some gasket sealent and crank her up. Spray some starting fluid around the gaskets. If she throttles up I know thats where the problem lies. So I got a few more tricks to try out. You know how it is some times. Trial and error. Error some more and the try again. We'll see. Oh and the plugs are brand new and staying bone dry. So I know fuel is not getting there.
Also I am gonna have some better pics soon.
I live in Santa Fe, Tx. About 30 minutes South of Houston and 30 minutes North of Galveston.
If all else fail I have I guy I can take her too that said will help me out. So I have a back up plan at lest.

Dont believe anyone has checked this in awhile. Never have I. Been at a stalemate. But here is some great news. She is running and I'm riding. Here is the low down. I swallowed my pride, realized that I didnt have the knowledge or experiance to do this myself, and took it to someone. Found this guy down in Swiney Texas that is a genius and a total wackadoo. But he sure knows his stuff. Got like the Tuts tomb of British stuff in this broke down little shop of his. Crazy man. Really blew me away. Heard he had parts. Talked to him on the phone. He said bring it down and he would look at it. Well it spent a month in his hands while I did alot of nail bitting.
Seams on Had a needle out of wack that needed to be replaces. No biggie. But she wa running ultra lean due to these bored out carbs that came with the bike. Changed the jets to a bigger size. No biggie. Okay heres the biggie. Seams that it was all really the electrical system. Something I have no idea how to deal with. Not even close. Now realize I didnt wire or build this bike and this is how it came. Seams you cant run the wires from an electronic ignition anywhere near the alternator. A phantom signal is sent to you ignition telling it to fire at the wrong times and burns through plugs like that.
So that explains why I couldnt get her to fire. No spark. Even with new plugs I only got her to fire a few time and she wouldnt stay running due to a vaccum leak. as expected.
But HEY!!!!!! Ever thing is good now. Still need to boil my tank and tackle a few small nit pick issue.
Just wanted to tell you guys thank you so much for the help and all the input. And yeah I'll still be bopping around the page and posting some new pics hopefully. Thanks kats. Late

Unfortunately not yet. I still might have to trash the tank I have on right now. Rust galore. Gonna take it to a radiator shop and try and have it boiled which might trash the paint. Dont know yet. If it does then I might go with a different paint scheme. I have always loved a burned chevy orange. Maybe with a light silver metal flake and a nice clear coat. Completely different direction I know, but hey you guys know these bikes are never "done". Nature of the beast I guess.

So update for any that care. Bonne is running great. Working on a solo biltwell seat right now. Found some great hardware from TCBros.com Now that guy makes some quality low profile stuff and great priced too! Grabbed the seat form Four Aces and the springs from Justified Defiance. And found this great chain tensioner from Troy Fabrications. Check this out. Unlike the cheezy spring loaded glove box strength tensioners I have found a 15 tooth sprocket on an adjustable arm on a bracket that welds to the frame. Very cool. Very mean. Just gotta be careful about placing on the high side not the slack.
Anyway I'll show up here with some new pics soon. Yall kats take it easy.
