It's a thing of beauty, Ron. I'm guessing 500cc's. Is that correct? What's that black triangular part on the right rear? A toolbox? Are you going with the same color?

yeah Rich its a 500 ,the others stayed with the iron motors, it was only the pre- unit tigers from51 that had the full alloy motor. answers yes its a tool box the same color Rich but the correct shade. the styling bands should be black in between the chrome ridges. the tank was a 1950 ,I now have the correct 1951 TANK. the mudguards should have a pin stripe painted on them. the frame is pitted so it will need filling and painting. I have to paint the new tank so while I have the gun in hand i might as well do it correctly.

the tank was a 1950 ,I now have the correct 1951 TANK. So you visited the Guru,I guess.I'll bet he had some interesting stuff. Now we've seen the before pix of your Tiger 100,so we will look forward to seeing the after pix. By the way,I retitled this thread"Classic Triumph Picture Thread" and made it a sticky. I can't think of a better machine to start it off with. Cheers! Bruce

I think this classifies as a Classic. A 1971 Triumph T25T 250 Trail Blazer. Bought for a song this summer. The only thing I have had to do so far was: drain all fluids and replace, nos foot rubbers, nos turn signals, nos speedo bracket, and new tires. Kept the original size, but different brands, Coker 20" up front and a Cheng Shin 18" rear. Not the easiest thing to start, and yes it does leak, but it runs, and it's all mine. Hoping over this winter to strip it down and give it a thorough cleaning. I am not going to restore the bike to original, so I won't be re-doing the paint, or anything like that, but a good detailed cleaning.

Hey Guys... Haven't been around here much, but alot has happened. My plant closed down leaving me out of a job, found a new job in the same field blah blah blah...and I just bought this: A '73 Daytona. After some quick tuning, some new carbs, tires, handlebars, and a fluid change, I have a runner. Need to work out the lighting issue, but it should be ready in a week or so...

Alrighty, Hammr. Looks "all there". Some elbow grease [maybe some for the bike too] and it'll sparkle up. Good luck with it!
