While skimming through Proficient Motorcycling, the offer shared tips while working on bikes. One caught my attention. He puts a tie down strap through front wheel and around side stand to prevent the stand from inadvertently creeping backward while do certain procedures. More than once I've check the stand to insure it did not creep and possibly allowing the bike to crash to the garage floor - an event that would be very, very distressing. Never thought of this before. Good tip, eh?
