Food thread I've been wondering guys recently on what is the best food to have when you stop of for a meal break or snack while on a day's ride. I guess just as importantly what to avoid. The purpose of this thread is not to suggest what to eat in general life just what will help you concentrate or give you better enjoyment on the bike or food that may adversely affect your riding style.

Though I love beer better than most I stay away from it too while on the road Ron. Never knew coffee made you piss, with my prostrate I already have to stop way to often ;D Chips (or fries) is something I resist nowadays because fried food can make you very drowsy after a while - though I can't bring myself to order a salad in case they think I ride a HD

Yup, coffee and sodas make you need to piss. For trips I often bring along (easy to reach in my tankbag or similar place): - camera - half a litre of plain tapwater - a banana or an apple - chocolate (but not when it's so hot that the choc would melt before I eat it) I also make a point of not riding for too long between stops. Somewhere between 100 - 150 kms is fine. What's also good is that most motorists don't really bat an eyelid if a biker pisses by the roadside

I eat light when stopping at a place - and not a lot. Almonds and Slim Jims with a Jolly Rancher for dessert while traveling.

A couple of beer and a black Angus steak done medium at the Black Diamond Bar. The beef dip is also excellent and so is the pirogies and kielbasa when available. Ya,Ya I know,... You're drinking!! fuk it!,... 2 wheels 2 beer. No harm in a 225 lb body with a belly full of pirogies and sausage,...Well maybe the sausage can produce a little gas, ;D...Especially if eaten with sourkraut. Yummy!

I've only been drunk twice while on a motorcycle - the 70's and the 80's.
