Good question...I havent found 1 bike that represents what I'd like to do. More like a short list of something off one...couple thing's off another. I'm big on apes, I know alotta folks don't like them..for me they are very comfortable.
Theres something about having my feet almost behind me..and having to lean forward for the bars that isn't appealing. It's uncomfortable..
I'll have a look around and see what I can come up with for some photo's..

Probably use something similar...and extend it back further over the tire..a little past 1/2 way over the rear tire I think

Ok...this p[icture is kinda where I wanna go. I intend to remove the frame work behind the rear shock mounts sorta like this bike.. Relocate rear indicators to same point after cutting off the peg mounts and shortening them. I have a existing hiway bar from GP...I'm gonna remove the pegs and cut it down and mount front indicators there. I also want to delace the front wheel and get a 21" rim for it..relaced to the stock hub..( powder coated black..along with the rim ) Black PC Rear rim and hub I have progressive 440 11" shocks on my bonnie...keeping them instead of struts or hard tailing it. I also want to remove the side covers, batt box/airbox elim kit..and install a specific false oil tank to hold the battery and all the electronics. Stretch rear swingarm 3"...add a 200 rear tire And I'm buildin a custom exhaust for it....much like the guy with the thrux on bonapartes site..but different. No goofy lookin sprocket cover or chain guard like on the bike pictured in this post... I'd like to add some cams to my motor..perhaps the 813's..and some oversized valves. I'm gonna also remove the tank and raise the mounts in the front on the frame about 1"...give or take. ...yea the list is long. And like I mentioned earlier..the FXR is first inline. I gotta get that thing back together n road worthy before I tear into the bonnie. If I have to sell off the FXR...it'll take even longer.

Something that really bothers me about the new bonneville's is the oil cooler...big radiator lookin thing hangin off the front of the frame.
Much cleaner looking without it..

I have talked with the dude who owns the bike in the pic above. He is from Mass. his name is AJ. I think he owns a bike shop some where in N/W Mass. He was suppose to go to the BTB last year but, he never showed. I plan on contacting him to see if he will make it to the 2009 BTB. I think his bike is pretty badass. I cant wait to see yours when you geter done.
