I have never been a fan of tank bags - most I'd seen were big, straps all over, bleah. A buddy had this Cortech Mini magnetic, and the more I looked, the more I liked. It is ruggedly made, sturdy zippers, has [small] map sleeve, and a nice rain cover: Man, this thing is great for what I need. Used to carry lunch carefully strapped ot the back, pockets stuffed with stuff. It really holds quite a bit and does not budge at 40 mph. or 80 mph.: Packing for my ride to work now is streamlined. I used to carry much stuff "in case" I would work on it at home: books, vast piles of essays, etc. Now I take only what I will actually work on, so I use the valise I got with the bike: The Cortech looks good on the Thruxton as well: Life, it is good. ;D

Here's mine: Yeah,it's pretty big,and sits over the gas cap,but it holds a lot,and it's amazing how well the magnets hold it to the tank.I've had the Scram over the Ton several times with this bag in place. I've got the matching tail bag, too, and the matching panniers,(but no pix of those):
