Congradulatitions Henry! OK I know this bike is history, but it's still a significant bike for BIIRA,maybe because of it's departure, certainly because of it's difference. Our first modern triple. A failed experiment? Maybe. But,absolutely a cognizant personal choice,by someone who's acuity and opinion I certainly respect. Henry had a Scrambler, was dissatsfied, traded for the Tiger, was infatuated for a while, then decided that, after all, the Scrambler was the bike for him,so traded back for the bike he needed. Does this mean the twin is better than the tripple? I don't think so,but it's certainly a topic for discussion. So,discuss.

Thanks for the bike of the month Bluesrider, I will certainly remember the bike this periode;-)
It was a statement on Trn "riding a slow bike fast is awesome, riding a fast bike slow stinks.." well nearly like that. And I must admit that I am not a rider that takes the big Tiger all the way. The new 800 looks more handy, and will be a much easier ride.
Why did the Tiger become a "wobble" affair for me? I am lucky to ride with Bonnie, and with Teebee some weekends and on this rides I really dont need the extra power. Took a ride with Bonnie for 30 km on gravel roads, found out that I was slowing her down. That really was a new experience and one big reason for why I decided that the Tiger was wrong for me
The Tiger has the upper hand when riding above 120 km/h. With Bonnie I travel between 100-120 .. So no need for the power again. I will outrun the Tiger with my Thrux on twisty roads, due to the weight issue. They have the same weight but sitting on both bikes, the Tiger feel much more heavy than the Scrambler.
But all honor to the Tiger and people that love that bike, it is a Triumph it runs good and will cope with the new ducmulti when it comes to speed. And to a 2/3 of the price.
Sorry for putting the Bonnie vs Bonnie picture out
Cheers Henry
