Probably a dumb question, but here I go. I recently changed out my stock Bonneville handlebars for some superbars. Of course the stock bars were kind of "threaded" so they would stay in place when tightened. The new bars are not and as a result slip some. I've done the obvious thing and tightened the hell out of the screws. Any suggestions?

Cut two shims from a soda or beer can and insert them between the clamp and bar so nothing shows. That will do it. [Oh, the "threads", I believe are called knurls]

Yep the can shim will work a treat Mike...another option I used to use years ago is course emery cloth...grip side down under both halves of your yokes...the courser the better...makes funny weird scrunching scratchin sounds when you bolt it down...not good if you have a shit load of fillings but works really well....
