Earlier this morning I rode a Poker Run fundraiser for one of the organising road racing clubs. Just as I was about to set off on the 100 mile country roads route, didn't I hear a thunderous rumble in the distance and see an old friend ride in on his 350 Manx Norton This in the same guy who also has the 3rd place finishing Rudge 500 from the 1930 Senior TT. This is a former Geoff Duke framed 1961 Manx with a different engine. The sound was deafening, a real ear bleeder! Even the checkpoint marshals took interest Sadly Ed had to head home after the 2nd checkpoint as his arms were giving him bother and I carried on, nice little bonus as the Club awarded me the furthest travelled trophy All in all a cracking 200 miles today

Well done on your award Nods! Looks a nice trophy. Has it taken pride of place on the mantelpiece!? I bet that Norton drew a lot of attention! I like the "silencer" on it!! V.
