I squinted a bit when the blue splashed at me. Is there a way for the user to alter the appearance of the page?

Yeah I can't read it either. I vote for changing it back.

No worries. The forum will be going back to normal tomorrow. This red, white, and blue skin was only a done as a small tribute for the victims of 9-11-2001,which in the U.S. is a national commemorative day,Patriots Day. Hence the flag.
You're right, the red does try to disappear into the background. The idea to do this skin only occurred to me two nights ago, while watching a TV documentary about the attacks. It brought the whole thing back, and I was surprised to find myself teary eyed. This is a tiny thing, but it felt good doing it. If I had more time,I would have experimented more with colors,to see if I could get something to pop a little better.
Other than that, what do you think about the idea of an occasional special skin?
Scratch,I'll be needing a close up of your face- for the Halloween one. ;D

Yeah, occasional thematic screens are cool. Monotony is bad for the soul.

Hey. Lay off the MV Babe. She's got her own fan club, on another board.

vibrant red and blue in certain preportions have an affect on vision. I think it has something to do with the rods and cones in peoples' eyes. This effect was used a lot by op artist and field painters in the 60's and 70's.
