Good idea,Ron. I have modified my profile to follow suit.
It looks like most of the others have already done that.
Cheers! Bruce

A Question for Bruce!
Is there any choices on how the "recent posts" are presented on the forum? At the moment we can only view the last 10 posts. Is this able to be increased to more? Or even for just the post title to be viewed and then clicked on to read it?
Dont know about you other guys but I find that the easiest way to see whats been going on recently is to view "recent posts". I guess that makes sense!! As time goes by, and more members are contributing, the last 10 posts wont cover much of a time-scale.
Just a thought. Shoot me down if you dont agree!! I can take it!!

I will check into it,Graeme.I might be able to change the count upwards, but I don't think I'll be able to do the other thing. We will see.
Meanwhile, everyone feel free to start new threads with new suggestions. We've got plenty of room, and your idea will be more likely to get attention on a new thread.
Thanks, Bruce

Chat Room is that possible tried one once could not handle it ,one fingered typer trying to respond to a heap of people ,trying to figure out what they were on about. I nearly had brain fade, but were a select little group here that know each other pretty well would it be interesting...

I once had a 'Guestmap' on a friends band website, where you can stick a pin on the map with your national flag and a message - it was free but limited to 50 posts i recall. Worth considering with this being an International forum. It was rather good fun to see new flags being added. Here's the link Bruce... www.bravenet.com/webtools/guestmap/

That's a good idea,Lake. I will check it out when I get home.I don't think I will put it on this page though, there are already too many gadgets on this page,it's making page loading kind of glitchy. I think I'll put it on the other page.It can be full size over there.I'm going to move some of this other stuff to the other page, too, eventually.
Thanks, Bruce

When I understand that I'll get back to you. It opens another page anyway by default I think and its only a web link.

I was under the impression that it was a widget that was embedded on the page.I haven't had time to check it out yet,but it sounds fun.

In the modern triumph section of the forum, the twins are what 90% of us are riding and there is three sub boards, and not a lot of posting ,would getting rid of all the sub boards and bringing all the comment on the bikes that basically all of the membership own into one area increase the interest in that area of the forum, like on the the rat site in twin talk its all in one spot and generates a hell of a lot of interest just a thought? Modern Triumph Twin Talk..

yeah I forgot to add there seems to be three areas of the forum that generates all the interest. 1- bald tyre-( going well) 2- modern twins-(needs more interest, this section could fly) 3- classics-struggling but we love it (well some of us do )

Keep them all, they WILL get used as the membership expands. As for suggestions, I suggest that if we ever get to meet Bluesrider the drinks are on us - it takes a lot of time, hard work, ability and patience to do this, so...
WELL DONE MATE, WE APPRECIATE IT!

I disagree completely with Lake ,on this one, as you can see bald tyre is attracting a lot of attention now days and modern twins which we all own is as dead as the do-do!! basically the same bike split in three directions is cutting down the potential combined number of posts and if it is not the type of twin your riding you have tendency to ignore the section, which is silly as they share a lot of common ground , and its putting people off. but Bruce I appreciate your efforts mate you must be under a lot of stress with this and work as well..
